About PropFit

What is PropFit?

A matching service for homes to rent. Renters say what they need; owners publish what each home asks for. PropFit checks one against the other and explains every fit, criterion by criterion.

Where does PropFit work?

New York City and Orlando, in early access. Residential rentals only, for now: apartments, houses and rooms. New York City and other cities start from the waitlist at propfit.co/waitlist.

Does PropFit decide who gets a home?

No. Owners make the final decision. PropFit shows estimated qualification matches, not approvals, and explains where each renter stands and why.

Is PropFit a landlord, a broker or a listing site?

None of those. PropFit doesn't own or rent out homes. It checks renters against the criteria owners publish, explains the results, and connects the two sides.

For renters

Do I need an account to see my matches?

No. Answer a few questions and see your matches first. Create an account with Google, Apple or email only to save them.

Is checking my fit the same as applying?

No. Checking your fit isn't an application, and nothing is sent to an owner. You apply to a home only when you choose to.

How do you count my income?

Tell us how you're paid and we turn it into a monthly figure: weekly pay times 52, divided by 12; every two weeks times 26, divided by 12; twice a month times 24, divided by 12; yearly divided by 12.

Why does a match say it needs info?

Some requirements can't be settled from what you've told us yet, for example a credit band that sits on both sides of a home's minimum. The match shows what's missing instead of guessing.

What does it cost renters?

Nothing. Checking your fit and seeing your matches costs renters nothing.

For owners and managers

How do I list a property?

Create an owner account and follow the five setup steps: about you, business details, verification, your first property and its criteria. Then publish and share your qualification link.

Why can't I write my own tenant requirements?

Criteria come from a catalog of clear, structured options, so every renter is checked against the same published rules and sees them in plain words. There's no free-text "ideal tenant" field.

What do I see about renters who match?

Before an application, whether each renter meets each of your criteria, and whether that's reported or verified. Not their documents.

What does it cost owners?

Owner pricing hasn't been announced yet.
